As the end of Daylight Saving Time approaches, CFD urges residents to replace the batteries in their smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors throughout their homes, and to test those detectors to make sure that they are functioning properly.

Cetronia Fire Department would like to give our condolences to the Kelly family and the member of Western Salisbury Fire Company. Jack Kelly, Sr. was a volunteer for Western Salisbury Fire Company for 49 years and was chief for 36 of those years.

On September 13th, 2009 Deputy Chief Knauss, Assistant Chief Heicklen, and Lieutenant Kletzing held a Fire Prevention class for the Cub Scout Pack 29 at CedarChurch. DC Knauss reviewed what to do in an emergency and showed the kids what to do in case they find matches on the ground.
